Company will incorporate Solarflare's latest Flareon(TM) Ultra adapters and SolarCapture(TM) Pro into R-Scope PACE-X(TM)
NEW YORK, Feb. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Reservoir Labs announces a new partnership with Solarflare, the leading developer of application-intelligent networking I/O hardware and software. Reservoir will incorporate Solarflare's SolarCapture(TM) Pro running on Flareon(TM) Ultra SFN7122F dual-port 10G Ethernet SFP+ server adapters into the new generation of R-Scope®, the company's line of scalable network security monitoring appliances. This solution will power the next generation of R-Scope PACE-X(TM), a 1U rack-mountable appliance that extracts and analyzes cyber-security intelligence data from network traffic, delivering sustained performance of 20 Gbps.
R-Scope is a fully-featured, customizable network security monitor that provides enterprises with real-time situational awareness not achievable with traditional signature-based IDS/IPS systems alone. R-Scope appliances incorporate industry-leading threat intelligence, integrate with commercially dominant SEIM systems, and harness the richness of the Bro(1 )open-source analytics language, tightly coupled with high performance hardware in a single, ready to deploy package. This unique combination empowers cyber-security professionals to encapsulate security policies, identify threats as they occur, and rapidly formulate defensive measures, all tailored to meet the needs of, and easily integrated into their network security operations.
With the inclusion of Solarflare's industry leading Flareon(TM) Ultra SFN7122F dual-port 10G Ethernet SFP+ server adapter, Reservoir's new generation of R-Scope PACE-X appliances will provide support for 1000BASE-T SFP. This allows enterprises to deploy R-Scope for the long term - starting with 1G copper and growing into 10G fiber deployments.
R-Scope PACE-X will leverage Solarflare's SolarCapture Pro high performance packet capture technology to deliver line rate packet capture, packet filtering, and application clustering. SolarCapture Pro allows for capture operations on live data streams, while still delivering the packets to host applications.
