Dealiche Restaurant Deal Platform Challenges Paid Coupons with Frictionless Marketing

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- New business startup Dealiche intends on challenging traditional paid coupon distribution models like group coupons, daily deal websites, coupon books and perhaps even free-standing inserts in the Sunday newspaper. According to Pete Bosse, an Iraq war veteran with a PhD in Marketing, "the time is ripe for Frictionless Marketing to change the trajectory of coupon distribution forever." Bosse coined the term Frictionless Marketing and he defines it as the process of engaging unlimited people in an exchange of information to build Business to Consumer (B2C) or Business to Business (B2B) relationships, at little or no cost, by leveraging digital technology and the internet. Bosse says, "Paying for coupon books, group coupons or daily deals is nonsense; it's like paying extra to use the restroom when you're at a restaurant." When people are interconnected digitally and they can exchange information freely, why should there be a barrier between them that requires the exchange of money? Bosse believes this sort of information transfer should be free and businesses that require payment for coupons, offers, or deals are creating a chasm between themselves and their customers using an unsustainable business model.

Frictionless Marketing reduces the barriers between B2C or B2B by enabling an ongoing low or no cost dialogue in building relationships; the use of social media is an excellent example. Social media sites like Facebook and Twitter provide venues for seamless two-way dialogue between B2C or B2B. Bosse goes on to observe that in this day and age when envelope and postage costs are no longer a necessity and people communicate electronically and freely over the internet; many businesses still persist in building barriers between themselves and their constituents.

Bosse founded Dealiche in 2013 to help people get more restaurant food for less money. Dealiche is a new offer/deal platform, available soon via a mobile app and website, where restaurants can post offers/deals for free and consumers can redeem those offers/deals for free. In other words, no one has to pay money anymore for coupon books, group coupons or daily deals.

Bosse further believes military veterans make good entrepreneurs because they have the drive and perseverance to overcome adversity. Crowdfunding is a grassroots effort to generate funds for a wide range of initiatives from small projects to funding new business startups like Dealiche.
