Visteon Highlights Open Architecture Strategy on Technology Demonstrations at 2014 International CES
Global automotive supplier capitalizes on relationships with industry leaders to bring innovative products to market quickly
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- During the 2014 International CES® Jan. 7-10, Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) will showcase several technologies that support the blended ecosystem of consumer and automotive electronics. By employing an open architecture strategy, Visteon is effectively participating in this evolving market through its ability to quickly modify existing platforms.

Visteon's advocacy for open architectures goes beyond technology demonstrations as it is actively involved in industry groups including GENIVI® -- an alliance committed to driving the adoption of an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) open-source development platform; Car 2 Car Communication Consortium - which promotes worldwide harmonization of vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications; and the Wireless Power Consortium - whose mission is to establish a global standard for wirelessly charging electronic products.

-- Rightware: Visteon has teamed with this leader in embedded user
interface software and benchmarking tools to deliver outstanding
graphics and user-friendly human-machine interaction solutions.
Visteon's LightScape(TM) performance instrument cluster and OpenAir(TM)
infotainment product were developed using Rightware's Kanzi UI
solution®.
