China Mobile Launches Its Self-branded 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot Powered by Marvell's ARMADA Mobile PXA1802 Multimode 4G LTE Platform

The China Mobile CM408 4G LTE mobile hotspot enables mobile broadband connectivity to laptop computers, tablets and legacy handsets through China Mobile's ever expanding LTE network

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and LAS VEGAS, Jan. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL) today announces that China Mobile launches its self-branded 4G LTE mobile hotspot powered by Marvell's ARMADA® Mobile PXA1802 multimode 4G LTE platform.  The China Mobile CM408 4G LTE mobile hotspot enables mobile broadband connectivity to laptop computers, tablets and legacy handsets through China Mobile's ever expanding LTE network.  China Mobile, the world's largest mobile operator with over 760 million mobile subscribers, selected Marvell's PXA1802 because of its superior performance.  Marvell is committed to delivering cost-effective worldwide 4G LTE connectivity with Smartphones ranging from flagship to 1000RMB (approximately $160 US dollars) mass market models.  Leveraging Marvell's PXA1802, the CMCC CM408 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot supports multiple global access configurations including Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA), Frequency Division Duplex-Long Term Evolution (FDD-LTE), and Time Division Duplex-Long Term Evolution (TDD-LTE) and Enhanced Data for the GSM Environment (EDGE). This new device also features Marvell's Avastar® 88W8787 IEEE802.11n Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and 88PM801 Power Management Unit (PMU).
