Halfbrick, iDreamsky jointly release new customized Chinese version of Fruit Ninja
SHENZHEN, China, Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On November 20, Beijing Standard Time, Halfbrick CMO Phil Larsen announced that the company will soon release the new customized Chinese version of Fruit Ninja . According to Larsen, following iDreamsky's taking on the role of the game's exclusive agent in China, 30 percent of its players now originate from that country. iDreamsky has made Fruit Ninja a great success in the Chinese game market through its unique localization model. The new customized Chinese version is a reward to Chinese players during the game's third anniversary.
Larsen pointed out that the new version of Fruit Ninja, a joint customization effort of Halfbrick and iDreamsky, will bring players into a new era of real-time battles while fully abandoning the simplified entertainment model and allowing players to experience the excitement of real-time battle. Meanwhile, the developers plan to roll out customized backgrounds, blades, and mission systems - all new features never before seen - giving players the opportunity to again fully experience and enjoy the charismatic qualities inherent in fruit.
iDreamsky co-founder Jeff Lyndon said that localization has always been one of iDreamsky's core competencies. Rather than simply rolling out the original version of a new game, the company expects to continue making breakthroughs by creating localized versions of each popular game, including customized payment methods, game styles and content for Chinese players. iDreamsky is now fast tracking the creation of Fruit Ninja for WeChat.
Larsen additionally commented that the downloads of games developed by Halfbrick have reached into the hundreds of millions and Halfbrick is now well ahead of other leading game developers with 23 percent of the top 50 games available in the iOS app stores being Halfbrick creations. The launch of the localized version of Fruit Ninja by iDreamsky will pave the way for a new chapter in the future development of Halfbrick and continue to provide more innovation for players.
