"Hidden Expedition: Smithsonian Hope Diamond" PC and Mac Video Game Uncovers the Mysterious Legends of the Hope Diamond

SEATTLE, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

News Facts:

--  Big Fish, the world's largest producer of casual games, is partnering
with the world's largest museum and research complex, the Smithsonian,
to create a PC and Mac video game based on the Smithsonian's iconic Hope
        Diamond.
--  Working in conjunction with the National Museum of Natural History, the
Big Fish team has incorporated Hope Diamond facts into the game, along
with actual places and other objects from the Smithsonian.
--  The Hope Diamond lends itself to a video game, due to more than a half
century's worth of  history that includes twists and turns, and
sometimes tragic ends. The diamond's owners are equally noteworthy,
ranging from Louis XIV to Harry Winston.
--  Available in December 2013, the game, called "Hidden Expedition:
Smithsonian Hope Diamond," is another great addition to one of Big
Fish's most popular franchises, "Hidden Expedition," which has sold more
than 25 Million copies to date.
--  The "Hidden Expedition" series is a collection of hidden object
adventure games, where players explore scenes and lands, finding hidden
objects within the scenes to help them progress or solve puzzles to
further advance in the game. "Hidden Expedition" games currently
available are "Hidden Expedition: Amazon," "Hidden Expedition: Everest,"
"Hidden Expedition: Titanic," Hidden Expedition: Devil's Triangle," and
        "Hidden Expedition: Uncharted Islands."
Quotes:

--  John Holland, President and COO of Big Fish:  "Working with our nation's
most prized institution is a great honor for Big Fish.  Our Big Fish
Studios is well equipped to take the Hope Diamond's long and interesting
history and turn it into a fun and compelling game experience that
players will be enjoying for years to come."
--  Carol Le Blanc, Senior Vice President, Consumer Products and Education,
Smithsonian Enterprises:  "Smithsonian is excited to be working with
game developer Big Fish and their Hidden Expedition games.  This
collaboration allows Smithsonian to highlight one of its most iconic
treasures, the Hope Diamond, in a unique way, to a new audience.
Players will be amazed by the artistry of the game, the puzzles and the
way historical information is incorporated into the game."
