JBL 'Dare to Listen' Experience Launches This Fall

Multi-City Tour Will Celebrate New JBL Synchros S700 Headphones

NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- This fall, the traditional gifting experience gets reinvented with a three-city tour to support JBL's Synchros line of premium performance headphones. Fusing a daytime party with a premium gifting opportunity and education experience, the series will consist of traveling events that will cater to a set of handpicked sound and music enthusiasts. The events will make stops in Los Angeles, CA, Miami, FL and New York, NY. Highlighting the JBL Synchros headphones' precision craftsmanship and featuring the industry's top DJ talent, the invite-only festivities will celebrate the addition of the JBL Synchros headphone series to the brand line-up, and will specifically highlight the JBL Synchros S700 headphones. The Synchros line is slated to roll out next month, with the S700 landing in early November.

Kicking off on November 2 in Los Angeles, the inaugural 'Dare to Listen' celebration will feature a DJ set from industry pioneer and legendary producer Jermaine Dupri. The series will then travel to Miami, FL and will feature a soundtrack from celebrity favorite DJ Ross One. The tour will conclude in Manhattan, where storied hip-hop legend DJ D-Nice will spin. All three events will include opening DJ sets from Sirius Radio regular DJ Wonder.

In all three cities, guests will have the opportunity to relax, dine on hors d'oeuvres and enjoy complimentary beverages. Each event will feature a separate gifting lounge available exclusively to VIP guests, where they will have the opportunity to try the new JBL Synchros S700 headphones and bring a new pair home. Members of the JBL team will be on-site in the gifting suite to provide VIP guests with a first-hand opportunity to learn why the JBL Synchros headphones are set to revolutionize the sound experience.

"There is no better test for an audiophile product than to put it into the hands of musicians and tastemakers who appreciate quality sound, and we know the JBL Synchros S700 headphones will surpass all their expectations," said Ralph Santana, HARMAN's Chief Marketing Officer. "The JBL brand promise is to recreate music as the artist intended, and these events allow us to genuinely connect with the influencers who truly value our product and brand ethos. We have no doubt that the JBL Synchros lineup will be a game-changing experience for the listener."

Modeled after JBL's famed professional audio systems, the JBL Synchros S700 headphones deliver dynamic sound with unmatched clarity. Featuring a die-cast aluminum frame coupled with soft, leather ear cushions, the JBL Synchros S700 headphones will be available in two colors: Onyx and Glacier. The epitome of a luxury sound experience, additional features include: a rechargeable battery; proprietary LiveStage(TM) signal processing for an increased soundstage and room-like experience; a detachable cable design with iOS® three-button remote/microphone cable and universal three-button remote/microphone cable.

Guests in all three markets will be encouraged to post to their own social media channels and tag/follow JBL's various accounts on Instagram (@jblaudio), Twitter (@JBLaudio) and Facebook (facebook.com/JBL). During each event, guests should also use the series' official hashtag, #DARETOLISTEN and the headphones' hashtag #JBLSynchros to join the conversation.
