Sony Online Entertainment, UOL BoaCompra And Gamerica Partner To Bring PlanetSide®2 To Brazil
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) today announced a new partnership with Gamerica, Brazil's largest game publisher, to bring the award-winning massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) PlanetSide(®)2 to Brazil. The publishing agreement will also utilize Brazil's leader in game monetization, UOL BoaCompra, to provide local payment methods for PlanetSide 2. Gamerica will debut PlanetSide 2 at the Brazil Game Show in Sao Paulo Oct. 25 to 29 at booth PD3.
The international partnership grants Gamerica exclusive PC publishing rights for PlanetSide 2 in Brazil and ensures that dedicated servers, local customer support and payment gateways - through UOL BoaCompra - will be provided for the game exclusively in Brazil. Gamerica will also host PlanetSide 2 at planetside2.gamerica.uol.com.br to provide Brazilian gamers with easy, localized access. Launched under the free-to-play model, PlanetSide 2 players are granted basic access to the game free of charge so they can choose to play in a way that suits them best, and make purchases in-game using their preferred payment methods in their country.
