Sharp Introduces Its New PN-U Series Professional LED Backlit Displays
Sharp's professional display lineup is now 100% LED Backlit
MAHWAH, N.J., Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Having already redefined "big," Sharp has expanded its lineup with its new PN-U Series of professional LED backlit displays. The roster now includes three new display classes, and with the introduction of this new series, Sharp's professional display lineup is now 100% LED backlit. Designed for maximum impact, built for 24/7 operation, and sized for flexible portrait and landscape installation, these displays represent a dynamic new breed of indoor digital signage solutions.
The new series lineup includes the PN-U553 55-inch class (54.7" diagonal), the PN-U473 47-inch class (47" diagonal) and the PN-U423 42-inch class (42" diagonal). These models were developed to be thin, lightweight and energy efficient. The PN-U Series displays measure just over 2 inches at their thickest point and weigh approximately 55/42/35 lbs. respectively, making for easy LEED® compliant placement in offices, public spaces, stores and other commercial establishments. The stylishly thin profiles also enables attractive wall mounting with minimal protruding parts.

With the PN-U Series, the optional PN-ZB01 expansion board is no longer needed as all commonly used input/output terminals are already built-in to the displays. A comprehensive range of input/output terminals -- including HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort(TM) -- come standard on PN-U553/U473/U423 displays providing expanded connectivity options.
Thin and lightweight enough to ensure an easy fit in stores, offices and public spaces, the PN-U Series professional LED displays boast the outstanding image quality needed to deliver truly compelling signage.
Availability
The PN-U553 and PN-U423 will be available for shipment later this month. The PN-U473 will be available early December.
