Introducing System State Backup and Bare Metal Restore in CloudBerry Backup v 3.6

Powerful image level backup and recovery solution integrated with Windows Azure and Amazon Web Services clouds

NEWPORT BEACH, California, October 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

    CloudBerry Lab
[http://www.cloudberrylab.com/?utm_source=PR&utm_medium=PR&utm_campaign=PR ], a vendor of
backup and management solutions for public cloud storage services, released CloudBerry
Backup v 3.6. The new version of backup and disaster recovery solution for Microsoft
Windows systems comes with a set of new features, including System State Backup and Bare
Metal Restore.

    CloudBerry Backup
[http://www.cloudberrylab.com/bare-metal-restore.aspx?utm_source=PR&utm_medium=PR&utm_campaign=PR ]
provides system administrators with ability to backup any Windows server or
workstation to over 15 supported cloud storage services, including Windows Azure, Amazon
S3 and Glacier, Google Cloud and HP Cloud.

The new version comes with Windows System State Backup to enable system administrators
restore Windows system settings. System State Backup is particular important for disaster
recovery as it allows to quickly restore the original operating system configuration
instead of reconfiguring it in event of system corruption. By running regular System State
Backup with CloudBerry Backup 3.6 system administrators ensure copies of boot files,
Windows Registry, Active Directory configuration and other files and components of
installed operating system are securely backed up to cloud storage.

The other feature introduced in CloudBerry Backup 3.6 is Bare Metal Restore for
Windows 2008 R2 or higher. Unlike System State Backup, Bare Metal Restore allows
rebuilding entire system, including all components of operating system, applications and
user data to a new or existing hardware. Performing backups for Bare Metal Restore on a
regular basis increases data protection level and ensures entire server or workstation can
be easily recovered from secure cloud storage in case of system failure or corruption.

In the new version of CloudBerry Backup also comes with the support for MS Exchange
2007 databases backup.
