MetaWatch Manager for iOS7 Extends Any Notification to the Wrist and Adds Intelligent Filtering

DALLAS, Sept 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Meta Watch Ltd., the smartwatch company, announced support for Apple's iOS7 with the release of the latest MetaWatch Manager (MWM) version  1.3.  With this new software and firmware update, any push notification sent to the phone can now be viewed on the wrist.

MetaWatch Manager also includes a new feature call MetaFilter, a dynamic filtering system that learns what apps are enabled on the phone and then lets users choose which ones can forward notifications to the wrist.

"With this update, the apps on your phone are now more accessible than ever.  Any notification from any app can now be viewed on your MetaWatch," said Bill Geiser, CEO of Meta Watch.  "However, our wearers do not want to be overloaded with updates.  The new MetaFilter adds a layer of personal control over which apps have access to our wrists and at which times."

MetaWatch devices already receive a host of notifications from the phone including caller id, sms, and other reminders.  In addition, widgets provide a 'glanceable' look at weather, upcoming schedules, stock quotes, StockTwits trending stock data, and more.  MetaWatch is available in 2 different models, Frame and Strata, and an assortment of colors.  Products can be ordered at http://www.metawatch.com

iOS7 notifications require Bluetooth 4.0 which has been built into MetaWatch products from day one.  The new MetaWatch Manager software is now available in the iTunes App Store.  The latest required firmware can be downloaded at http://support.metawatch.com
