New Two-Lane SPDT Switches from Toshiba Support 3rd Generation PCI Express

Optimally Configured for All Arrangements of PCIe Slots, Connectors and Switches

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc., (TAEC)*, a committed leader that collaborates with technology companies to create breakthrough designs, today announced the launch of the TC7PCI3412MT and TC7PCI3415MT, which are two-lane SPDT switches that support PCI Express (PCIe) Gen3 (8Gbps) signals.

The TC7PCI3412MT and TC7PCI3415MT reduce switch terminal capacitance to achieve high bandwidth characteristics of 10GHz at -3dB, making high-speed transmission with lower signal degradation capable.  The new switches are optimally configured for all arrangements of PCIe slots, connectors and switches on the motherboards of desktop and notebook PCs - as well as servers. The TC7PCI3412MT and TC7PCI3415MT can also be used for high-speed differential lines, including: USB 3.0, DisplayPort 1.2 and SATA 3.0.

Features include:

    --  Operating power-supply voltage: V(CC)=3.0V to 3.6V
    --  Wide -3dB Bandwidth: 10GHz(typ.) @V(CC)=3.3V
    --  Low insertion loss: IL=-1dB @V(CC)=3.3V, f=4GHz
    --  Low switch terminal ON-capacitance: C(I/O)=1.5pF(typ.) @V(CC)=3.3V
    --  Industry standard packaging: TQFN42
