BURLINGTON, Iowa, Aug. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The FlatWave® AIR outdoor amplified HD antenna, introduced today by Winegard, is the newest member of the FlatWave family of technology-driven, HD antennas. To get free over-the-air HD reception, consumers simply mount the AIR outside and point it in the direction of the local TV broadcast tower. This next-generation dual-band HD antenna features an integrated reflector with an embedded amplifier and signal boosting technology packaged in a sleek, yet durable design to deliver the best HD reception available. Users can enjoy top rated programs in pure HD, along with additional multi-cast programs including local news and weather, all with no monthly fees.
Equipped with Winegard's unique Clear Circuit Technology(TM), the AIR provides ultra low noise figure of 1 dB typical meaning less dropouts and pixelation, and better reception. State of the art TwinAmp Technology(TM) separately amplifies VHF and UHF signals for maximum signal handling capability to maintain the purest signal path possible. Equipped with bandpass filters, the AIR minimizes RF interference so the antenna can provide superior performance.
Mounting the antenna is easy with the Flex Mounting System that provides angling options for optimal positioning in the attic, on the deck, siding, roof, etc. allowing users to pull in signals from up to 60 miles away.
