MediaTek Introduces Industry Leading Tablet SoC, MT8135
World's first tablet SoC with heterogeneous multi-processing capability brings premium specifications to the mainstream
HSINCHU, July 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MediaTek Inc., (2454: TT), a leading fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions, today announced its breakthrough MT8135 system-on-chip (SoC) for high-end tablets. The quad-core solution incorporates two high-performance ARM Cortex(TM)-A15 and two ultra-efficient ARM Cortex(TM)-A7 processors, and the latest GPU from Imagination Technologies, the PowerVR(TM) Series6. Complemented by a highly optimized ARM® big.LITTLE(TM) processing subsystem that allows for heterogeneous multi-processing, the resulting solution is primed to deliver premium user experiences.
