Certification enables volume production of ViXS' XConnex(TM)MoCA chips in Cable Gateway Deployments
TORONTO, June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ - ViXS Systems Inc. today announced that it
has successfully completed and passed MoCA Certification on its MoCA
chip set. The MoCA chip set consisting of the XConnex 1000 and XConnex
1030 passed the MoCA Certification Test Plan (CTP) at MoCA's authorized
independent test facility of National Technical Systems (NTS) in Culver
City California.

The ViXS XConnex 2-chip MoCA solution consists of a Radio Frequency (RF)
transceiver, and a System on Chip (SoC) integrating the Media Access
Controller (MAC) and the Physical Layer (PHY). It supports both MoCA
1.0/1.1 and MoCA 2.0. In addition, ViXS has integrated its MoCA
technology with its XCode((R)) media processing family, the first product being the XCode((R)) 5195 transcoder gateway SoC with 6 simultaneous high definition (HD)
streams.
