PPTV Launched PPBOX, First Batch Sold Out in 3 Minutes
SHANGHAI, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- PPTV held a new product launch conference in Shanghai on May 9, launching its first Internet TV box--PPBOX in association with Wasu Media & Network Co., Ltd. (Wasu). At 12 AMMay 18, PPTV kicked off the sale of the Collective Engineering Edition of PPBOX on its official website before its official launch. 800 units were sold out in a short space of three minutes.
PPBOX integrates massive content from Wasu and PPTV, with a strong focus on HD video and user experience. PPTV will be directly in charge of future technical operation and marketing. The Collective Engineering Edition was sold with the aim of getting users' feedback and suggestions to further improve the product. Afterwards, the official product shall be put on sale on a trial basis in cities like Shanghai, Changsha and Hangzhou at a price of 299 Yuan.
