CCCS of Greater Dallas Leverages Texas Credit Union Foundation Grant to Offer 100 Free Financial Ed Webinars

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas, March 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thanks to a grant from the Texas Credit Union Foundation (Foundation), Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas (CCCS) is able to offer 100 free, live webinars throughout April in honor of National Financial Literacy Month.

The 100 webinars will focus on a broad range of personal finance topics, from setting your financial goals, breaking down your budget, and getting ready for baby to demystifying reverse mortgages, life after foreclosure, and building wealth. A full schedule is available at http://www.tcuf.coop/live_webinars_2.html.

Courtney Moran, Foundation executive director, says she was thrilled to be able to collaborate with CCCS on selecting the most appropriate topics for the webinars.

"The Foundation is committed to building strong communities by supporting programs and initiatives that help to improve the financial circumstances of Texas families," says Moran.  "Financial stability is an essential ingredient to maintaining a strong, healthy family unit."

April is Financial Literacy Month, and Todd Mark, vice president of education for CCCS, says the agency wants to offer consumers additional, convenient educational resources so they can be empowered to make healthy financial decisions and, ultimately, achieve financial freedom.

Mark says the webinars would not have been possible without the support of the Foundation.
