Democrasoft Receives Patent and Launches New WeJIT

New Patent and WePrioritize(TM) Bring New Opportunities for Democrasoft

SANTA ROSA, Calif., March 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Democrasoft announced today that it has received its first U.S. patent based on its Collaborize®/WeJIT(TM) platform. The company also announced WePrioritize(TM), its newest available WeJIT type. WeJIT is Democrasoft's unique platform for self-contained, "portable," topic-based collaborations.

Last week Democrasoft was issued U.S. Patent # 8392504. The patent generally describes key WeJIT attributes and how these capabilities can be embedded within other digital applications (such as e-books) and/or platforms (such as email), as well as shared from within those integrated spaces.

According to Democrasoft CEO Richard Lang, "This patent is a significant development that recognizes the innovative capabilities that WeJIT brings to web-based collaboration in general and e-publishing specifically. It also lays the groundwork for licensing the creation of many new products from our platform APIs in various markets."

A WeJIT is a very simple but extremely powerful online collaboration module that is "portable," meaning it can be deployed, shared, integrated or embedded into almost any third party digital platform, including mobile apps, websites, educational platforms, email productivity tools, e-book readers and social networking sites. Anyone wanting to experience the power of this type of collaboration can create a WeJIT for free at http://www.MyWeJIT.com.

Democrasoft also announced the availability of its brand new WePrioritize WeJIT-type, also available at http://www.MyWeJIT.com.  This new kind of WeJIT collaboration allows users to jointly prioritize anything from budget items to organizational goals to group favorites, in any category, just by dragging and dropping line items into their preferred priority order. The WeJIT will automatically calculate and display the group consensus order of items, including priority scores, making it simple and obvious what group priorities are in any area, and by what margins, all in real time.

"Pretty much every group or organization will benefit from having clear priorities, right at the beginning, before they take any actions. WePrioritize is an incredibly powerful yet simple way to do that online, without installing any software or joining any new social networks," said Lang. "If you really want to see the power in WeJIT, I urge anyone that understands the importance of having clear priorities to visit http://www.MyWeJIT.com and take WePrioritize out for a spin."

Democrasoft currently has U.S. patents pending for various other WeJIT and Collaborize-related technology, including WePrioritize.
