Aricent and Mindspeed Raise the Bar - Announces Launch of a High-Performing 20MHz Small Cell Reference Solution
Aricent and Mindspeed Introduce an Integrated eNodeB Solution on the Transcede T3300 Baseband Processor Supporting 20MHz LTE FDD and Throughputs of up to 150 Mbps
EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. and BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS -- The Aricent Group, a global innovation and technology services company, and Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSPD), one of the leaders in small cell technology, today announced the launch of a next-generation, high-performing metrocell reference design, supporting 20MHz LTE FDD and throughputs of up to 150Mbps. The companies have taken their existing relationship one step further by integrating Aricent's world class software stacks and Mindspeed®'s PHY software with the Transcede® T3300 baseband processor, especially designed for high performing small cell solutions.

Mindspeed has 34 LTE small cell design engagements and is one of the first small cell SoC companies to have LTE systems commercially deployed. Mindspeed will be hosting small cell technology demonstrations for service providers, OEM customers, and press and analysts during Mobile World Congress 2013 at stand 7E.104 from February 25 - 28, 2013 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. Aricent will demonstrate an integrated LTE offering comprising of eNodeB, EPC and a comprehensive VoLTE solution at the Aricent Group Hospitality Suite #2B104 in Hall 2.
