ADAIA, Makers of the World's First Adventure Smartphone, Announces Partnership with Jeb Corliss, Renowned BASE Jumper and Wingsuit Pilot

HELSINKI, January 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

Jeb Corliss to test ADAIA smartphone on special projects in 2013

Mobile company ADAIA [http://www.adaiadevices.com ] is announcing a partnership today
with world-famous BASE jumper and wingsuit pilot Jeb Corliss. US athlete Jeb will put the
rugged and virtually indestructible ADAIA smartphone through its paces as he ventures to
the far corners of the globe on a series of events in 2013 - diving in Palau, jumping in
Asia and Europe and while developing a large-scale project in the Nevada Desert. The
secure Android smartphone is ideal for adventurers, outdoors and sports enthusiasts, as it
is capable of working in any environment and over an expansive reach across the globe.

The Android handset is designed for outdoors sports activities including trekking,
sailing, climbing, skiing, biking, snowboarding, paragliding, enduro motorcycling and
kayaking. The smartphone will have satellite functionality where no terrestrial network is
available, including a GPS search and rescue service that can call for emergency
assistance. Security features are built in to the handset to provide enhanced spy-proof
and hack-proof privacy.

"The ADAIA smartphone will be super valuable in far-flung corners of the world for the
abilities to stay in touch and communicate through social platforms but also for safety
reasons. It could be the difference between living and dying in a remote location." Jeb
Corliss said. He continued, "For someone like me, when this technology exists it won't be
a question of if I would want one, but when will it be available as it is an absolute
necessity for people who do similar things to me."

ADAIA CEO and co-founder Heikki Sarajarvi commented, "When I destroyed my fourth
smartphone last year while sailing, I knew there was a need for a durable smartphone
capable of weathering the toughest environments. Bringing Jeb's talent onto the team to
put our handset through its paces is vital to our business, as we get closer to bringing
it to market. Jeb will demonstrate the importance and usability of features including
military grade security, a top of the range navigation tracking system and an extended
battery."

ADAIA is bringing a group of the world's leading international explorers and adventure
athletes on board to join forces with the company and contribute to research, development
and testing of the handset on upcoming expeditions. Kevin Vallely
[http://kevinvallely.com/Kevin_Vallely/Home.html ], Guinness World Record holder and one of
Canada's leading adventurers, will take the phone on an 1,800 mile rowing trip through the
Arctic's Northwest Passage this summer. These athletes will test the ADAIA smartphone in
the harsh conditions they regularly battle outdoors including high impact, extreme cold
and heat, and water.

As part of the partnership, Jeb will join the judging panel of ADAIA's Daring Dozen
Competition. The Daring Dozen is a talent search seeking 12 real-life outdoor adventurists
who can win their dream challenges and help road test prototype phones in locations across
the globe. More information about the hunt for the Daring Dozen is here:
