Ground-breaking Sendboo Messaging Application Announces Launch At CES

New cross-platform mobile messaging tool is first to break language barriers with real time translation for smartphone users worldwide

MIAMI, Jan. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sendboo, the newest cross-platform mobile messaging application, made its debut at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV.  CES is the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow.  As the only cross-platform, real-time messaging application to provide seamless translation into 30 languages, Sendboo opens up a whole new world for smartphone and tablet users.  The instant messaging application expands the communicative abilities of users beyond those offered by alternative mobile apps currently available to users.

This top-of-the-line app is an easy-to-use, fast and convenient platform allowing users to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS charges.  Sendboo supports group chat and unlimited image, video and audio media messaging.  However, unlike its counterparts, this app addresses the challenges of international communications.  Sendboo's interface allows users to communicate and exchange messages seamlessly, not only in the same language but also in different languages without the use of a separate translation tool.  Users set the app to their preferred language, send a message and the system translates this message into the preferred language of the recipient in real-time.  This works for one-on-one and group messages, as well as in the app's group chat feature.

"Sendboo is a game changer in day-to-day communications," said Alfredo Reviati, Chief Executive Officer and President of Sendboo.  "Given widespread adoption of smartphones and the convergence of mobile and IP-based messaging, we recognized an opportunity to eliminate the language barrier that exists in communications.  Sendboo offers an easy messaging for users looking for a better option for basic messaging, but also for users that interact in different languages.  Whether for work or social interactions, Sendboo will revolutionize global communications."

To celebrate its international debut, a press conference was held on the second day of CES--Wednesday, Jan. 9.  Attendees received a first-hand look at Sendboo's user-friendly interface and features including contact group management, location sharing, real-time status updates, user profiles, searchable message history, broadcast messaging, group chat and a message export function.

The application will initially be compatible with the Apple iOS mobile operating system and will become available for Android devices during the first quarter of 2013.  Sendboo is available in both free and premium versions.  The service is free of charge.  Sendboo works on a phone or tablet's Internet data plan or Wi-Fi connectivity, so users are not burdened by costs associated with SMS text messaging.

Sendboo currently supports all major languages including Arabic, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (Traditional), English, French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese, among others.

Sendboo and Sendboo Plus are available for download in the Social Networking section of the Apple App Store.  For more information on Sendboo, please visit http://www.sendboo.com.
