SSI America Launches INDIEGOGO.com Crowd Funding Campaign for Bluetooth Powered Location Stickers 'Stick-N-Find'

Unveiling To Take Place at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013

DAVIE, Fla., Nov. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today SSI America announced the launch of an Indiegogo.com crowd funding initiative for Stick-N-Find, the ultra-small location sticker able to be tracked via most new smartphones and tablets. The stickers along with the free app are set to be unveiled at the International CES event coming up January 8(th), 2013.

The 0.16 inch ultra-thin stickers are about the size of a quarter and have Bluetooth Low Energy. They are so small that they can fit on any item including keys, TV remote controls and phones. They can even be placed on children and pets. The free downloadable app converts a user's Bluetooth device into a radar screen, displaying the location of all stickers within range.

"Stick-N-Find Stickers have a range of about 100 Feet, with a battery that lasts for over a year," states Jon Mitts, Lead Inventor at SSI America. "Of course you can open up the sticker while it's still stuck and replace the battery. Stick-N-Find stickers have a buzzer and light so that you can even find stuff in the dark."

The free iOS /Android app tracks the distance the stickers are from the user's phone, literally converting the screen into handheld "Radar." Multiple stickers can be tracked all at the same time with each sticker lit in its position on the Radar Screen. The user can walk in a specific direction while the Radar Screen shows if a sticker location gets closer or farther away. Users can choose between a buzz, flashing lights or both with just a tap on the radar screen.

Other features include a "Virtual Leash" and "Find It" abilities. The Virtual Leash turns on an alarm if a designated sticker moves outside of a selected approximate distance. Different sounding alarms can be designated for different stickered items. The "Find It" feature, great for finding your luggage at an airport baggage claim, will "alert" you when a stickered item comes into range.

SSI America is leveraging the power of the popular fundraising platform INDIEGOGO.com to secure funding for the initiative. The INDIEGOGO campaign, which runs from November 27(th) 2012 to January 13th 2013, can be found at http://www.indiegogo.com/sticknfind.

Stick-N-Find will debut at the 2013 International CES, in Booth #3731, iLounge Pavilion, Las Vegas Convention Center at the 2013 International CES, which runs January 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
