MetroStar Systems and Huge to Redesign Keystone Website of American Innovation
Bringing USPTO.gov to the 21st Century
RESTON, Va., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MetroStar Systems, Inc. (MetroStar) in partnership with Huge has been awarded the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website redesign.
The USPTO has long protected new ideas, innovation and creativity by granting patents and registering trademarks for inventors across the world. According to USPTO.gov, it attracts 2.9 million visits each month from more than 1.2 million unique users. In 2011, the USPTO granted 247,713 patents and registered 237,586 trademarks with a large portion of those originating on USPTO.gov. MetroStar and Huge will leverage user-centered design to improve the online experience of users, from first-time visitors to experienced patent and trademark attorneys alike.
"The redesign will strengthen their access to the application process and educate them on the role of the USPTO." said MetroStar's Creative Project Manager Val Treshchov.
MetroStar and Huge bring a unique dynamic to this project, providing a blend of creativity, management and technical skills to ensure a successful redesign. Both have a history of successful website redesigns that prove their capabilities: MetroStar's redesign of FCC.gov and Huge's redesign of Energy.gov are examples.
