CAMBRIDGE, England, Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UK-based software developer, Ebase Technology, has announced the release of V4.4 of Ebase Xi, a free rapid application development platform that combines application development, workflow processing and data integration into a powerful and easy to use IDE.
The 4.4 release adds support for server-side JavaScript as alternative processing language and introduces AJAX-based screen refreshes for smoother and faster user interfaces.
"Our aim with this release is to position Xi as a complementary development platform for people with mainstream programming backgrounds." said David Rawlins, Commercial Director at Ebase Technology, " The first language we've added is JavaScript and over time we'll be adding others such as Groovy, Perl, Python and PHP." He added, "The AJAX-based screen refresh is really very cool and extends our support for rich-client development. The 4.4 release is a strategic milestone on a product roadmap that focuses totally on developer productivity.
