Connect2Compete, State USFs & Rural Health Care Programs among Those Supported by Solix's QPO Services

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Solix, Inc., the leader in Qualification Process Outsourcing (QPO) for government and commercial initiatives, is playing a key role in enabling public-private partnerships (P3) around the nation to effectively provide much needed services and support to residents while attaining operational efficiency and transparency.

A variety of programs on the national and state levels are supported with the Solix QPO suite of services including the new national broadband adoption initiative, known as Connect2Compete (C2C). Initiated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to increase access to broadband services for low-income Americans, C2C's offerings include discounted broadband service and computers as well as digital literacy training for eligible participants. A prototype was launched in May in San Diego and will be followed by pilots in targeted schools nationwide this fall.

C2C joins a roster of programs Solix administers, including state Universal Service Funds (USFs), which ensure that individuals have access to affordable basic phone service, and rural health care programs that provide technology support to doctors and hospitals in remote areas. In addition, Solix provides operational support to 'E-Rate,' a federal program administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), that helps schools and libraries obtain economical access to telecommunications and the Internet.

Solix has a distinguished record of effectively serving programs of national and state agencies and increasing their efficiency and performance while reducing waste, fraud and abuse. Solix's success in serving P3's has attracted customers in the commercial industry, including telecommunications, healthcare and insurance companies, who have chosen Solix to help them manage programs with intricate rules-based criteria that are often subject to extensive regulatory guidelines, eligibility requirements and compliance reviews.

Solix QPO includes a comprehensive suite of services that offer the expertise and end-to-end technology and process management required to determine an applicant's eligibility for participation in a program. The suite is comprised of Complex Program Administration (including business processes, program management and business intelligence reporting), Eligibility Determination Outsourcing (including application processing and data management), and Customer Communication Management (including outreach, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), and inbound/outbound interactions).

"Public-private partnerships such as Connect2Compete accomplish laudable objectives to help people overcome technological or economic disadvantages, and Solix is confident that we can help C2C reach its full potential," said Solix President and COO Jack Miller. "The dedication and expertise our company provides these programs is a part of our promise to deliver the services and support necessary to achieve success."
