The Gaggle App for the iPad Makes Its Debut
The Gaggle App provides a solution for sharing iPads among multiple students
BLOOMINGTON, Ill., Aug. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Gaggle released their new App for the Apple iPad which solves the problem of shared iPads in a classroom cart environment. With Gaggle's iPad App each student using the iPad logs in to their own account, so sharing the tablet is easy.

The purpose of developing the App was to give students and teachers the ability to use the iPad as a collaborative learning tool. Gaggle App developer Ryan Peterson states, "What we have found when working with schools is that sharing an iPad among several students is common practice in the classroom. While applications that support document editing, file storage, and email are readily available, they fail to meet the shared device model. With our app, users can each have their own set of documents, files and emails all safe, secure and protected from other users who later access the same device."

Students will be sharing devices, so having the ability to log in and out of email was a necessity," Jenny Grabiec, Instructional Technology Specialist, explained.
