Shareable To Do Lists and InBox Function Help Families Coordinate, Communicate

NEW YORK, Aug. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- HatchedIt.com, the free social organizer for families, is proud to present the company's new phone app at BlogHer '12, the premier conference for bloggers, which is being held this week in New York City.  The new phone app includes two major updates:

    1. Shareable To Do Lists - Members can create lists and share them with the
people in their family account and other connected site members.
    2. Site InBox - Members can accept or decline invitations for events or
requests to connect with other site members from their phone apps.
"We are so happy to bring a full set of mobile organization tools to the multitasking women of the BlogHer community," says HatchedIt.com co-founder Megan Brown.  "This tech savvy group of women juggle the responsibilities of family and work every day.  Until now, nobody had developed the technology necessary to let them fluidly coordinate plans and communicate those plans easily to their closest social network:  their family."

When HatchedIt.com launched as a fully mobile social organizer in March 2012, it was recognized by the National Association of Professional Organizers, which awarded it the Organizers Choice Award for Best Technology Product 2012.  What makes the free site so different is that it allows members to share full or partial calendars, individual events, group chats, photos - and now To Do Lists - with family members and anyone else they choose to connect with on the site.

"Members who want to send invitations to people who are not on the site can even send cute little email invitations for individual events that are easily shared with non-HatchedIt.com members," says Brown.

"The first thing I did when we launched the To Do Lists on the phone was to make up a packing list for our family road trip to Boston.  Now my husband and I can both see what we need to pack and add to the list easily if we think of something during the day when we are both busy at work," she says.

The To Do List function is also great for everything from assigning chore lists to children who have their own HatchedIt.com login to coordinating party and event planning with friends on the site.

"My sister is getting married next spring, and the To Do Lists on the phone app and the group chatting on the site are a great way for the whole bridal party to stay in touch and update each other when we are on the go and think of things we need to plan and discuss."
