UT's Cockrell School of Engineering proudly announces the launch of its Engineering Management MS degree - ONLINE!

AUSTIN, Texas, July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- College graduates with engineering backgrounds can now earn a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management - ONLINE - from the Cockrell School of Engineering. The 24-month degree, which is the newest expansion of Cockrell's focused master's degree programs, will launch in August 2012.

"The Masters of Science in Engineering Management gives you the skills to excel in engineering and technology based companies," said Steve Nichols, PhD, director. "This program helps students build a lasting network of like-minded professionals who share their enthusiasm and drive to succeed."

Students will complete 30 credit hours over 24 months in a comprehensive program designed to provide real-world, immediately applicable skills. The curriculum provides an understanding and ability to implement the latest methods and technology for business decisions including personnel issues, strategic decision making and project management.

The University of Texas at Austin program joins a rapidly growing number of master's programs aimed at working professionals, both in the United States and abroad. The program will help meet the needs of employers seeking students with both leadership skills and a solid technical background.

"Our students are up-and-comers from prominent employers such as Advanced Micro Devices, Applied Materials, Boeing, Dell, IBM, and more."

Applications are now being accepted for the class of 2014, the deadline to apply: November 1, 2012. Costs for the degree, including tuition, fees and books, are $40,000 for onsite students and $42,000 for online students.
