MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTight® Networks, the global leader in wireless security solutions, today announced the addition of its new C60 Access Point/Sensor to its portfolio of Wi-Fi Access Point/Sensor devices which are fully software configurable, giving enterprises complete flexibility in how they want to rollout Wi-Fi and control their security posture. Customers have the flexibility to change the Wi-Fi access and WIPS operation modes centrally on any number of devices at one time and have a mix of devices with different modes at the same time. And all this can be managed from a single Web-based console, regardless of the size of deployment.
The new AirTight C60 is a multimodal dual radio, dual concurrent device that can be operated as: (a) an 802.11n AP with or without background WIPS scanning on both radios, (b) an 802.11n AP on one radio and dedicated WIPS sensor on the other radio scanning both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, or (c) a WIPS sensor on both radios, one scanning the 2.4 GHz frequency band and the other scanning the 5 GHz frequency band. The innovative design of C60 also makes it the only dual radio device that can deliver 3x3 MIMO performance on 802.3af power budget.
Depending on their requirements, enterprises can choose from a variety of deployment and pricing options. The AirTight service can be hosted and managed by the widest range of deployment options - (a) the industry's most scalable global multi-tenant public cloud, (b) customer specific private cloud or (c) on-premise VMware or (d) server appliance - allowing customers to choose the option which best suits their business needs. Pricing is available as full Capex, full Opex (bundled) cloud service, or a hybrid (unbundled) cloud service. The AirTight Cloud Services(TM) can be chosen from pay-as-you-go subscription-based modules so that customers can buy only what they want and not pay for features they don't need.
