Topps BUNT now available on the iPhone for the second half of the MLB season

NEW YORK, July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Do you like baseball and having fun? That's the simple question that The Topps Company, Inc. is asking today as it launches Topps BUNT, its casual social game for baseball fans, on the iPhone.

Topps BUNT turns following the Major League Baseball season into a game. The app, available now on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, invites fans to have more fun as they root for their favorite baseball team and players.

Topps BUNT is like hanging out in the bleacher seats at a baseball game. Baseball fans declare their team allegiance; talk baseball with friends, family members, and other fans; collect and trade their favorite real-world Major League Baseball players; and earn points based on their actual performance on the field. The more engaged a fan is in Major League Baseball, the better he will do in the app's massive leaderboard. Additional new features include:

    --  New Friends Leaderboard: easily add your baseball friends and foes for
        trash talking and better head-to-head competition with tighter Facebook
        Connect integration.
    --  Trade Chats: nudge your trading partner along with a few choice words
        when proposing or responding to trade offers.
    --  Out of Left Field News: learn about your favorite baseball player's
        performance, his locker room antics, or his bizarre pre-game ritual.
        Enjoy the lighter side of baseball with expanded editorial coverage.
