Streetline Launches Cloud-Based Smart Parking Application Suite - ParkSight Portal(TM)

New, Web-Based Solution Provides Cities and Universities Unprecedented, Easy Access to Real-Time Data and Analytics to Deploy Smart Parking Programs

FOSTER CITY, Calif. and PHOENIX, Ariz., June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Streetline, Inc. (http://www.streetline.com), a global provider of smart parking solutions for cities, airports, universities and private operators, today unveiled ParkSight Portal(TM), an integrated, web-based application suite providing real-time and historical insight for cities and universities to better understand and manage the parking ecosystem. The announcement was made at the 2012 International Parking Institute Annual Conference & Expo being held June 10-13, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona (http://s3.goeshow.com/parking/2012/index.cfm).

"Smart parking is about new data and new insights for action," said Zia Yusuf, president and CEO of Streetline, Inc. "Streetline pioneered the market for smart parking sensors that has sparked innovation in tapping the power of real-time parking data across the industry. Now, Streetline is once again leading the way with the introduction of ParkSight Portal, a web-based application suite that enables parking executives to better understand, manage and implement smart parking solutions. For the first time, implementing dynamic pricing, active policy management, and advanced compliance and meter management can be simple, cost-effective... and fast."

With ParkSight Portal, parking managers, enforcement supervisors, policy makers, and city and university leaders can now view and analyze real-time and historical parking data to make more informed decisions and more actively manage their parking resources to the benefit of the city, university, residents, and local merchants.

With various easy-to-navigate tabs, accessed through a simple web log-in via computer, tablet or mobile device, ParkSight Portal features:

--  Home: at-a-glance map and drill down views showing real-time parking
occupancy/availability at the city, neighborhood or block level.
--  Occupancy: showing additional real-time occupancy data including average
stay, and comparative analytics, for example, month over month, last
week vs. this week, today vs. yesterday.
--  Compliance: ability to view compliance trends, including potential
revenue city-wide, by neighborhood, or by block, as well as historical
        comparisons.
--  ParkSight Analytics: built on the market-leading analytics platform IBM
Cognos(TM). A powerful analytics platform delivering more than 15
interactive historical reports; configurable by area, date, time, and
day of the week. Ability to deliver broad range of additional reports,
        based on customer requirements.
ParkSight Portal integrates real-time data from Streetline's patented smart parking platform. The presence of a car is detected through a network of ultra low-power wireless sensors located in individual parking spaces, enabling both motorist guidance and accurate and reliable parking data collection for city personnel. "We've only scratched the surface of what is possible in terms of realizing the vision for 'Smart Cities' - and, parking is proving to be one of the most intriguing first real use cases as cities look to tap technology in interesting new ways."

About Streetline, Inc.

Streetline's mission is to make smart cities a reality through the use of sensor-enabled mobile and web applications. As the leading global provider of smart parking solutions for cities, airports, universities, private garages, and consumers, Streetline's pioneering technology connects citizens with critical information to improve the way they live and work, while making cities more efficient and lessening their environmental impact.

Experts estimate that 30 percent of urban traffic is caused by motorists looking for parking. Additionally, vehicle emissions resulting from drivers looking for parking are so closely linked that a year-long study found that drivers in a 15 block district in Los Angeles drove in excess of 950,000 miles, produced 730 tons of carbon dioxide and used 47,000 gallons of gas searching for parking. [*Based on 2007 study by Professor Donald Shoup, University of California, Los Angeles]

Streetline is a privately held company headquartered in Foster City, Calif. with smart parking deployments across the U.S. including California, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington D.C. The company was recently named one of Fast Company's 10 Most Innovative Companies in Transportation, as well as IBM Global Entrepreneur of the Year.
