Pavlov Media and Campus Crest Communities Launch First Tesseractiv(TM) Content Delivery Network in Texas

New technology delivers web content at speeds unmatched in student housing communities in the state

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., May 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Pavlov Media, one of the nation's largest private providers of broadband services to multifamily real estate owners, today announced that it has partnered with Campus Crest Communities, a leading developer, builder, owner and manager of high-quality, purpose-built student housing under The GroveĀ® brand, for the joint launch of an industry-leading Internet service called Tesseractiv(TM) Content Delivery Network.  The beta for this program is at Campus Crest's student housing community in Waco, Texas.

Pavlov Media's new Tesseractiv(TM) technology hosts the Web's most popular content and delivers it to end users at transport speeds up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps).  As a part of Campus Crest's ongoing commitment to revolutionize student living coast to coast it decided to partner with Pavlov Media on its Tesseractiv(TM) platform as a way to provide its residents with market-leading Internet performance.  Residents at The Grove at Waco now enjoy significantly improved streaming video content, university coursework and other entertainment services.

"We are always looking for new, cost effective ways to drive value and quality of life for our residents so when we discussed Pavlov Media's Tesseractiv(TM) technology it was a natural fit.  We believe this system will provide our residents with industry leading Internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps per second or a gig," said Rob Dann, executive vice president of Campus Crest Communities and president of Campus Crest Real Estate Management.  "We pride ourselves on providing living environments for our residents that are radically different at a great value and at the same time are places where we provide the complete student experience.  This inaugural service takes this to a new level meeting the needs of today's college students and having a fast, reliable Internet connection which is a must in today's high-speed digital world."

"Campus Crest is a recognized industry leader when it comes to providing Internet services for their residents and Tesseractiv(TM) will give The Grove at Waco a technological advantage over neighboring student housing communities," said Mark Scifres, CEO of Pavlov Media.  "We are pleased to roll out Tesseractiv(TM) in Texas and continue to deploy Tesseractiv(TM) systems on our national backbone in key strategic markets across the United States with Campus Crest."

Pavlov Media has spent years developing Tesseractiv(TM) technology, which helps property owners make more efficient use of their bandwidth,  improve Internet speeds and cut costs.  The technology gets its name from the combination of the words "interactive" and "Tesseract," a four dimensional mathematical model.  The word "Tesseract" is used in the popular novel A Wrinkle in Time.  Author Madeleine L'Engle uses the concept of a "Tesseract" to describe traveling between stars faster than the speed of light.
