Red Hill Studios donates proceeds from innovative iPad(TM) App about climate change to the Union of Concerned Scientists
SAN FRANCISCO, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Hill Studios announces that it will donate half of the net proceeds from downloads of its innovative iPad app Painting with Time: Climate Change to the Union of Concerned Scientists to support their on-going efforts investigating climate change.

The Painting with Time: Climate Change App lets you explore how the world is changing over time. Simply dragging your finger across the responsive multi-touch screen magically peels back the layers of time to reveal how quickly our world is changing.
"This app gives people a new way of seeing how our world changes and that may help them understand the impact of global warming better," says Bob Hone, Creative Director of Red Hill Studios. "We're donating half of the proceeds from this app to the Union of Concerned Scientists because they share our mission of helping people learn about this important issue."
The Union of Concerned Scientists is the leading science-based nonprofit working for a healthy environment and a safer world. UCS combines independent scientific research and citizen action to develop innovative, practical solutions and to secure responsible changes in government policy, corporate practices, and consumer choices. Climate scientist Todd Sanford of the UCS was one of the content consultants on the project.
Gary Braasch, creator and photographer of the World View of Global Warming web site (http://www.worldviewofglobalwarming.org), led the image research that scoured the globe for striking visual examples of how climate change is altering the planet. "In my public presentations of time-series photos, I've seen how dramatic sequences of glaciers can really show the effects of rapid climate change. Now people can experience the transformation of our planet much more directly."
Programmed and co-designed by Red Hill Senior Engineer Charlie Brown, PWT Climate provides a range of time brushes and special time slicers that let you combine photographic sequences in powerful new ways.
