IAVM Partners with SwiftMobile to Provide Mobile Apps for Premier Industry Events
COPPELL, Texas, April 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), the world's largest professional association dedicated to issues relevant to the management of public assembly venues, announced today that it has partnered with SwiftMobile, a company that builds mobile app programs for convention centers, association and enterprise meetings and conferences, trade shows and business communities. SwiftMobile will be implementing IAVM's first meeting mobile app at VenueConnect 2012, July 21-24 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In conjunction with the partnership, SwiftMobile will produce apps for VenueConnect, the Arena Management Conference, the International Convention Centers Conference and the International Crowd Management Conference.
"We strive to continually enhance our service to members, discovering efficient and innovative ways to deliver resources and information," said Gina Brydson, membership director at IAVM. "SwiftMobile offers a robust program that will allow our members and meeting attendees to easily and conveniently access program information, speaker bios, event details, exhibitor details and more from their smart phone."
For SwiftMobile, working with IAVM is an opportunity to demonstrate to convention centers, stadiums, arenas and performing arts centers from around the world the potential that the mobile medium has to enhance meetings and events for attendees. SwiftMobile CEO Kathleen Gilroy noted, "At most events 75 percent of attendees or more are now using mobile devices.
