HomeFusion Broadband From Verizon Available in Roanoke, Virginia Starting March 29, 2012

LAUREL, Md., March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning March 29, HomeFusion(SM)( )Broadband from Verizon Wireless will be available to customers in Roanoke, Virginia.  Providing high-speed in-home Internet access that leverages the power and speed of the nation's largest 4G LTE network, HomeFusion Broadband offers households in Roanoke and surrounding areas that have limited broadband options a reliable alternative for data connectivity in their homes.

"With HomeFusion Broadband, customers throughout the Roanoke area will have an easy way to connect devices in their homes, from computers to gaming consoles, to our lightning-fast 4G LTE network," said Mike Maiorana, Verizon Wireless Regional President.  "HomeFusion Broadband provides a great option for consumers in Roanoke when considering residential broadband services."

Verizon Wireless' powerful 4G LTE network is delivered to an antenna which transmits the signal to an in-home broadband router.  The antenna is professionally installed outside a customer's residence.  With multiple internal antennae making up the product's innovative design, the device picks up and delivers Verizon's 4G LTE signal to the broadband router, allowing the customer to connect up to four wired and at least 20 wireless devices in the household using Wi-Fi.

Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers, including HomeFusion Broadband customers, should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.  More than 200 million people across the United States can take advantage of the super-fast speeds offered by the nation's largest 4G LTE network.

Customers can choose several usage-based plans specifically designed for HomeFusion Broadband: $59.99 monthly access for 10 GB of data, $89.99 monthly access for 20 GB and $119.99 monthly access for 30 GB.  For the first two full billing cycles of service, customers will get 50 percent more data allowance, as they settle into using HomeFusion Broadband.

A one-time equipment fee of $199.99 applies, and installation is free.  Verizon Wireless is working with Asurion, a trusted leader in consumer technology protection services, for installation.  Additionally, customers can monitor their data usage with text alerts and other tools in My Verizon.  Customers in Roanoke, Virginia can purchase the HomeFusion Broadband in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and at select local agents.
