Infinite Z Debuts zSpace 3D Holographic Experience to Gaming Community at GDC

Industry Veteran Greg Richardson Joins as Advisor for Media and Entertainment Market

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Infinite Z, Inc.,® a technology provider that enables virtual-holographic 3D imagery to bring designs to life, today announced its entrance into the gaming market at the 2012 Game Developer's Conference. The company is exhibiting its revolutionary zSpace® 3D virtualization experience March 7 - 9 in the GDC Expo at booth 1844.

zSpace is a hardware and software solution that enables life-like interactions with designs and characters in open space. It provides a highly realistic 3D visualization experience that enables designers and engineers to directly manipulate animations as if they were real physical objects, which accelerates the design and development process and increases productivity. A virtual demonstration of zSpace is available at http://zspace.com/. Infinite Z has gained significant traction in the CAD arena with the recent launches of zSpace beta plug-ins for Autodesk® Maya® 2011 and Autodesk® Showcase® Professional 2012 and proof-of-concept demonstrations for Autodesk® Alias® Design software and Dassault Systemes 3D technology.

Today, the company also announced that gaming industry veteran Greg Richardson has joined Infinite Z as a strategic advisor to help advance the company into the media and entertainment market. Richardson is currently the founder and CEO of Rumble Entertainment and previously spent five years as an investor with Elevation Partners, where he worked closely with BioWare/Pandemic, Palm and SDI Media. He also served as the Vice President and General Manager of EA Partners, the third party publishing arm of Electronic Arts, where he managed key external relationships and served as a catalyst for IP and asset acquisitions.

"zSpace is truly breakthrough technology - 3D opens many doors for new creative processes and products," said Greg Richardson, advisor to Infinite Z and CEO of Rumble Entertainment. "Think about your most creative people and imagine the possibilities if they could be more productive, create higher quality work and concept art in a whole new way. That's huge. I look forward to having this front row seat and seeing what our industry's brightest creatives imagine with zSpace."

Animation is a key area of focus for Infinite Z and the company is currently offering a version of its zSpace system paired with a beta plug-in for Autodesk Maya 2011, 3D animation software that delivers an end-to-end creative workflow with comprehensive tools for animation, modeling, simulation, visual effects, rendering, matchmoving, and compositing.

"The gaming and animation market is unique, what you see on a screen isn't a prototype or a demo, it is an actual character, the product," said Paul Kellenberger, CEO of Infinite Z. "As the industry increasingly moves towards 3D games and films, expectations for the quality of that animation increase. We think zSpace is perfectly poised to tackle that challenge and we're thrilled to have Greg's expertise on board to help us do so."
