BlueThread Technologies to Unveil Cloud Content Management Solution at the 2012 Cloud Expo
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BlueThread Technologies, Inc. (BlueThread) today announced that they will unveil Skybrary, an Enterprise-class Cloud Content Management solution at the Cloud Computing Conference & Expo 2012 to be held at the New York City Javits Center in June.
Skybrary is a software-only solution designed to accelerate the adoption of Cloud Storage, Collaboration, and Content Management Services. Its distributed architecture enables large volumes of content and related object data to be efficiently moved between supported content platforms, whether they reside on-premises or in the Cloud.
"Organizations want to leverage Cloud technologies however there are risks," said Rob D'Oria; BlueThread CTO and Co-founder. "Who will be the winners, losers and new Cloud challengers? How do I move large volumes of content to and within the cloud in reasonable timeframes? How do I retain related object data (i.e. metadata, security, tags, and comments) as content is moved from one service provider to another? How do I secure and protect my content in the Cloud? ...and so on."
D'Oria continues; "Skybrary tackles these challenges by leveraging a high-definition content provider connector framework coupled with a highly-scalable migration architecture, ensuring that large volumes of content can be efficiently moved to and within the Cloud without the loss of metadata, security and other critical content-related information. It provides organizations with the flexibility to manage all of their content no matter where it's stored."
The initial release is targeted to include two-way connectors for Microsoft® SharePoint®/Office 365, Google(TM) Docs, Box®, Amazon® S3,( ) EMC® Atmos((TM)), Windows® Azure((TM)), Microsoft® SkyDrive((TM)) and File-shares. Additional content platform connectors will be available in subsequent releases. In addition to its comprehensive migration capabilities, Skybrary also includes standard user functions such as aggregated view and federated search features via an Explorer-like interface.
While the focus of the initial release is on businesses of all size, future releases will be targeted toward consumers as well as the introduction of a SaaS model. Cloud Expo attendees can get an in-depth preview of Skybrary at the BlueThread booth (#222).
