ESCORT Highlights New Products at 2012 International CES Press Conference
ESCORT Inc., the industry leader of radar detection technology, announced two new products at the 2012 International CES alongside the multi-award winning all-new ESCORT Live(TM) real-time ticket protection network: ESCORT's first ever mobile fleet office solution, ESCORT SmartOffice(TM), and ESCORT MobileTV(TM), a connected Mobile Digital TV receiver.
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ESCORT Inc., designer and manufacturer of the world's best premium automotive accessories, today unveiled several new products alongside the multi-award winning all-new ESCORT Live(TM) real-time ticket protection network in a press conference here at the 2012 International CES, the largest consumer technology show in the world.
Mobile TV
ESCORT MobileTV(TM) is a connected Mobile Digital TV (MDTV) receiver that quickly and easily allows consumers to receive digital TV on their WIFI-enabled smartphone, iPad or similar video-capable device. A major benefit of ESCORT MobileTV(TM) is that it does not use the device's data link for connectivity, but receives MDTV through WIFI, dramatically reducing the use of the consumer's data plan. Viewers won't miss anything while travelling with others as they choose from news, weather, sports, traffic, entertainment and more in over 46 major metro markets.
Show attendees can see demonstrations of MobileTV(TM) in ESCORT's Booth #1509, North Hall. In addition, MobileTV(TM) will be on display at the Siano Mobile Silicon Booth #13545. Siano provides the mobile DTV receiver chip and iOS digital TV middleware for MobileTV(TM).
SmartOffice Mobile PC
ESCORTSmartOffice(TM) Mobile Rugged PC is a single, integrated, in-vehicle, solution that improves safety and productivity, while significantly reducing operating costs for consumers and fleets alike. ESCORTSmartOffice(TM) provides full PC functionality, navigation, Bluetooth, and includes reverse camera. ESCORTSmartOffice(TM) also offers mobile credit card processing, barcode reader, RFID reader, and digital TV capabilities. Mobile Rugged PC is a complete, portable, office solution that can be used for private, commercial and industrial applications.
SmartOffice(TM) will be on display in ESCORT's Booth #1509, North Hall, and Verizon will be demonstrating a unique public safety application using SmartOffice(TM) in their Booth #30259, South Hall.

During the press conference, Larson also demonstrated the company's award-winning new ESCORT Live(TM) ticket protection network, a CES 2012 Innovations Design and Engineering Award winner.
ESCORT Live(TM) uses Bluetooth technology embedded in SmartCord Live(TM) cords and a unique app for the driver's smartphone. When alerts are detected, they are transmitted to the ESCORT Live(TM) "cloud" and then broadcast across the ESCORT Live(TM) network, notifying drivers of potential ticket threats. In addition to network alerts, the new smartphone app technology provides ESCORT's industry-leading Defender® database of red light and speed-ticketing camera locations and speed traps as well as ESCORT's patented GPS features, including posted speed limit information, over-speed limit alerts, live traffic for route optimization and more.
The key to the ESCORT Live(TM) community is real-time national reach and scale. Currently there are more than 1 million ESCORT Live-compatible ESCORT and BELTRONICS radar detectors in use throughout North America. Multiply this data gathering and sharing process by millions of miles and millions of driving hours and the result is a nation of protected ESCORT Live(TM) drivers.
