LG Showcases Its Largest and Fastest Front Load Washing Machine at CES 2012 With TurboWash(TM)
LG's Newest, Highly Efficient Front Load Washing Machine Makes Consumers' Washing Experience More Convenient
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics (LG) is showcasing its fastest(1), largest(2) capacity front-load washing machine at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (booth #8204). With the largest capacity in its class(3), LG's washer enables consumers to wash more clothes per load including large, bulky items such as king-sized comforters. Plus, it helps consumers save energy thanks to LG's Inverter Direct Drive(TM).

The washing machine uses LG's revolutionary TurboWash(TM) technology, which reduces the time required for the washing and rinsing cycles compared to conventional LG washing machines.
Such rapid washing experience is accompanied by high quality cleansing for a variety of laundry items and a diverse range of fabrics, thanks to LG's 6Motion(TM) technology. The six motions - Tumbling, Scrubbing, Filtration, Rolling, Stepping and Swing - are organized into various combinations depending on the type of fabric, ranging from cotton items and towels (which require heavy-duty treatment) to delicate items that call for hand-washing. Furthermore, the six different wash motions help provide lasting protection of various fabrics.
The Inverter Direct Drive(TM) motor, a proprietary LG technology delivers greater power while helping to reduce energy consumption by eliminating the belts and pulleys found in conventional motors. In addition, the simplified structure reduces friction between the motor components, which can enable greater durability and reduced noise levels and vibration. The Inverter Direct Drive(TM) motor is backed by a 10-year warranty.
For added convenience, Smart Diagnosis(TM) technology helps in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical problems, taking the guesswork out of whether a technician needs to make a visit. A downloadable smartphone application alerts customers to simpler problems, such as a door being left ajar.
