AT&T Unwraps New Green Tree Store Just in Time for the Holidays
The new store offers a "try before you buy" experience
GREEN TREE, Pa., Dec. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- To address the growing demand for advanced wireless data products and services and to provide a new option for holiday shoppers, AT&T* today announced the grand opening of a new high-tech wireless store in the heart of Green Tree. The store offers a unique way for customers to interact with and shop for a wide array of communications and entertainment services, including a hands-on demonstration area to engage customers and provide a "try before you buy" service experience.
"Green Tree is a vibrant community, with many retail options available to our residents and to those from around the area," said Green Tree Mayor C.F. Hammer. "We're thrilled that AT&T has chosen to invest and expand here, and we welcome them to Green Tree."
Mayor Hammer was joined by Green Tree Council President Mark Sampogna, Keith Wehner from Sen. Wayne Fontana's office, Nate Nevala from Congressman Tim Murphy's office and State Rep. Matt Smith for a special grand-opening celebration at the store.
This new store is another example of AT&T's ongoing investments and overall commitment to the region. AT&T invested more than $100 million in its Pennsylvania wireless and wireline networks in the first half of 2011 as part of our commitment to superior service in the state.
"Our Green Tree store redefines the sales experience by allowing consumers to test drive our entire portfolio of products and services in an innovative way," said Larry Evans, vice president and general manager, AT&T Ohio and western Pennsylvania. "Whether customers are looking for the perfect holiday gift or shopping for themselves, our goal is to help people choose the best mix of products and services that meet their individual needs to stay connected everywhere they live and work."
Located at 970 Greentree Road in Pittsburgh, the store is led by industry veteran Laura Wolf and has a team of six trained sales consultants who can demonstrate a wide range of products and assist both consumers and business customers with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
"To help serve our local customers, we have hired four new employees for the store, who will work closely with our seasoned veterans. We feel strongly that adding jobs to the Pittsburgh retail landscape benefits both the local business community and consumers alike," Evans added.
To celebrate the opening of this new store and just in time for customers looking to finish up their holiday shopping, AT&T will offer a free Sony Ericson Xperia(TM) Play 4G to customers who sign a two-year service agreement with data plan. Also, customers who purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 for $479.99 will get a free Samsung Galaxy S(TM) II.
