NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Adrianna Papell for E! Live from the Red Carpet is using the power of social media to find America's next great fashion designer.
In October, the brand launched a nationwide call-to-action, and invited designers and aspiring designers to submit red carpet looks for the Spring 2012 collection. (The winner will be announced live on E!'s "Countdown to the Red Carpet Academy Awards" special on February 26, 2012.) Prior to the campaign launch, the Adrianna Papell Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/AdriannaPapell) had 10,000 "likes." A little over one month later, the brand has 48,755 Facebook "likes"--and counting. The design group's social media outreach has driven traffic not only to the Facebook page, but doubled traffic to http://www.AdriannaPapell.com as well.
"The Adrianna Papell Facebook page has evolved into a forum for designers campaigning for votes. Voting culminates on November 27th, at which point the in-house Adrianna Papell design team will narrow the top twenty-five designs down to the top five.
