Topics of interest to Ektron developer community through interviews with Ektron partners, engineers and developers to be highlighted

NASHUA, N.H., June 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ektron, a provider of web content management, social software and marketing optimization solutions,  today announced the launch of a new monthly audio podcast series, "The Ektron Developer Podcast," hosted by Ektron Chief Evangelist Bill Cava.

In the just-released first episode of the series, Cava interviews two members of the Ektron engineering team focused on front-end development, Ted Henry and Keith Pepin. Over the half-hour freewheeling discussion, the group addresses the challenges front-end developers face today, the move from Silverlight to HTML5, and the changes developers may see on the web front over the next five years.

"An Ektron core value is our belief in the power of community and networking," Cava said.  "Our new Ektron Developer Podcast is another way for Ektron to promote education and the sharing of information and opinions with our partners and customers."

The Ektron Developer Podcast is part of an ongoing initiative demonstrating Ektron's focus on providing its developers with the tools and information they need to build innovative web projects on the Ektron Web Content Management platform.  Ektron released the "Ektron Developer's Guide: Building an Ektron Powered Website" from Wiley Publishing in early 2011. During spring 2011, Ektron engineers and executives conducted a series of popular user group meetings from New York to Australia showcasing the Ektron technology roadmap as well as presenting regional case studies and "Amazing Ektron Deployments" at some of the largest companies on the Web.

Support for Ektron developers include the Ektron DevCenter, an online community featuring forums, blogs, tutorials and Knowledge Brief articles and the Ektron Code Community Exchange, a "one-stop shop" for developers offering pre-built code, server controls, widgets and more. Upcoming projects from Ektron include an addendum to the Developer's Guide focused on Ektron tools to develop mobile-optimized websites and the much-anticipated "Ektron Developer Cookbook," scheduled to be introduced at Ektron's customer conference in November, Synergy 2011.

"The Ektron Developer Podcast" can be listened and subscribed to from iTunes, Bill Cava's blog or directly from the podcast's RSS Feed.  The podcast is a companion piece to the Ektron Webinar Podcast series, featuring video and audio on Ektron web content management, marketing optimization and social software tools.
