TORONTO, June 15 /PRNewswire/ - ViXS Systems Inc. announced today the XCode(R) 5195, the first network media processor, with quad transcoding and an integrated Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA(R)) networking functionality. XCode(R) 5195 provides the complete SoC solution for whole home distribution of premium content to any device while maintaining digital rights protection, quality and connectivity. The XCode(R) 5195 is a highly integrated and robust solution designed for service providers who are looking to distribute their content to multiple displays inside and outside of the home. Sampling now, the XCode(R) 5195 leads the market in terms of integration and advanced functionality making it a media processor of choice for home based gateway devices.

- High level of concurrency allowing customers to enable whole home DVR;
place-shifting; and content consumption on Apple iPad(TM) and other
tablet and mobile devices
- Real-time HD to HD transcoding, trans-wrapping, and transcryption of
up to 4 simultaneous HD streams to serve multiple Internet Protocol
(IP) based devices within the home
- Faster than real-time transcode on stored content
- Advanced security processor architecture to enable security for
leading digital rights management providers (DRM), Conditional Access
providers (CA), and leading broadcast operators
- Supports concurrent 1080p60 encoding and transcoding
- ViXS patented VQoS(TM) (video quality of service) implementation for
maintaining video quality in bandwidth constrained networks
