Flextronics Releases Supply Chain Sustainability Report
SINGAPORE, June 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX) today announced the release of its inaugural Supply Chain Sustainability Report. This document is designed to drive, implement and gauge CSER compliance standards across the Flextronics supply chain.

This includes complying to sound environmental and ethical standards as well as providing working conditions for employees that fully adhere to both Flextronics' Supplier Practices Guidelines and the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) Code of Conduct," said Bob Cusick, Flextronics' Senior Vice President of Procurement. He added, "This report will provide our current and potential suppliers with a good understanding of Flextronics' CSER supply chain program and expectations."
The report provides an overview of Flextronics' supplier CSER compliance program. It includes details on the Company's supply chain assessment process, corrective action requirements, results attained to date, supplier feedback and environmental sustainability framework. The document also speaks to the Company's plans for conformance to the recently enacted Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, outlining how Flextronics expects to manage its supply chain disclosure of conflict minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
"As a key member of the EICC Conflict Minerals Due Diligence sub-team, we are committed to define a common process to survey and eliminate the usage of conflict minerals from our supply chain and provide tools that suppliers can use to ensure compliance to the Dodd-Frank Act," said Cusick.
