HTC Shows World's First LTE Smartphone, HTC Scribe Technology(TM), and more at CTIA booth -- #3697

ORLANDO, Fla., March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- International CTIA Wireless 2011 -- HTC Corporation, a global leader in smartphone innovation and design, will be highlighting its latest devices and technologies at International CTIA Wireless 2011 in Orlando, Fla. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to spend hands-on time with the blazing fast speeds supported by the world's first 4G LTE smartphone, the HTC ThunderBolt, and see the first tablet to offer the acclaimed HTC Sense(TM) experience, HTC Flyer(TM), including the groundbreaking power of HTC Scribe Technology.

"HTC focuses on creating innovations that are inspired by our consumers, not only in terms of the latest hardware, but also the content that matters most to them," said Jason Mackenzie, president, HTC Americas. "With our leadership in LTE technology, our best-in-industry portfolio of connected smart devices for a cross section of people and our focus on offering content within the HTC Sense experience, HTC continues to put each of our customers at the center to ensure the most robust and comprehensive mobile experience possible. We are excited to be participating in CTIA Wireless 2011 and are looking forward to an action-packed week ahead for us and for the industry."

HTC Furthers Its 4G Leadership

The HTC ThunderBolt is the world's first 4G LTE smartphone and the first to take advantage of Verizon Wireless' new 4G LTE network. The HTC booth at CTIA 2011 will offer attendees the opportunity to experience the speed and power of this all-new 4G powerhouse firsthand. The Android(TM)-powered HTC ThunderBolt features the highly acclaimed HTC Sense(TM) experience, offering a huge selection of personalization options, a convenient consolidated e-mail inbox, and unique camera effects and filters, as well as support for Google Mobile Services, including Gmail(TM), YouTube(TM) and access to the ever-growing Android Market(TM) with over 100,000 apps.

Building a More Integrated Mobile Experience

Conference attendees will also have an opportunity to view demonstrations of HTC's newest technology offerings: HTC Watch(TM), HTC Scribe Technology(TM) and the re-thought HTC Sense experience for tablets.

When introducing its first tablet, HTC couldn't just port the HTC Sense phone experience; it had to rethink the HTC Sense experience to take tablets to the next level. This newest version of HTC Sense features enhanced browsing and e-mail capability, as well as a new timesaving lock screen that allows people to not just swipe the screen to unlock, but to access their favorite applications and features directly from the lock screen. In addition, it offers an improved graphical experience, including more immersive weather animations and a new revolving home screen, which puts people at the center of everything.

HTC Watch is a new on-demand video service powered by Saffron Digital(TM). It is designed to appeal to those who want to watch HD-quality videos both on the move and in the comfort of their own home. HTC Watch will bring an entire library of movies right to people's fingertips in an easily accessible format, with hundreds of available titles and new titles added regularly.

With HTC Scribe Technology, HTC Flyer transforms traditional note-taking into smart note-taking by enabling natural onscreen writing with the benefits of integrated technology innovations. The optional HTC Scribe(TM) digital pen is an active device that works with HTC Flyer's display to enable precise, natural drawing and writing, and enables users to capture and scribble on any on-screen content by simply tapping the pen to the screen. For more complete notes, the ability to take and add photos is proof positive that a picture is worth a thousand words. Traditional keyboard notation is also enhanced through the ability to add personalized scribbles or captured photos, and HTC Scribe technology even allows users to actively comment on documents or even sign contracts by simply writing on the screen. With the HTC Flyer's Wi-Fi printing capability, it's even easy to print documents without cables or transferring files to a PC first.
