Samsung SDS Launches Mobile BI Dashboard, Announces SAP Co-Innovation Partnership at 2011 Mobile World Congress

Co-Innovation Leads to Rapid and Cost-Effective Deployment of Enterprise Mobility Services

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Samsung SDS today announced the launch of the Samsung Mobile Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard, the latest in the company's portfolio of enterprise mobility services. A joint development with SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) leveraging SAP® Business Objects(TM) software, the Samsung Mobile BI Dashboard enables mobile workers to easily access BI reports, including revenue, customer and inventory data from their Samsung mobile devices. The solution is commercially available in the U.S., European, and Asian markets and is supported on the latest Android hardware, including Samsung's Galaxy S smart phones and Galaxy Tab smart media devices.  Today's announcement was made at the 2011 Mobile World Congress, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from Feb. 14 - 17.

In addition, Samsung SDS announced a new mobile co-innovation partnership with SAP designed to further extend the power of the SAP Business Suite software through mobile applications for the enterprise. Through co-innovation, SAP and Samsung SDS plan to scale their complementary portfolios of enterprise mobility services by leveraging their core competencies and strengths in enterprise business processes.

The Samsung Mobile BI Dashboard solutions are complementary to SAP software partner offerings, are developed in accordance with SAP development guidelines, and provide additional choices and flexibility for businesses running SAP applications.

Samsung SDS also is currently collaborating with SAP to launch additional enterprise mobility services, including Samsung Mobile Sales Force Automation (SFA), which enables sales professionals in the field to access a variety of data, including customer information, sales orders , and product specifications.  Also planned for future availability is SAP Mobile  Electronic Medical Record (EMR) by Samsung, which enables doctors and nurses in hospitals to easily access and update patient records.

Additional solutions provided by SAP for use on the latest Samsung devices include SAP BusinessObjects Explorer software, which provides users an intuitive path to quickly search and explore data for instant business insight, and SAP StreamWork, a software as a service (SaaS) collaborative decision-making solution that brings together the people, information, and methods to drive fast, meaningful results.  These are offered as stand-alone solutions or may be bundled with other Samsung services including Mobile Push Mail and Mobile Device Management.
