Mindspark Acquires VoxPop Gaming Platform

Leading Game Site IWON® To Feature New Trivia Games

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Feb. 10, 2011/PRNewswire/ -- Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. ("Mindspark"), an operating business of IAC (Nasdaq: IACI), today announced that it has acquired a leading pop culture gaming platform developed by VoxPop Network Corp. ("VoxPop"), one of the largest pop culture gaming companies in the market. The gaming platform is used by many of the leading entertainment and media sites on the web.

The VoxPop platform, including its trivia engine, has been used to power pop culture games in genres ranging from music to news. The technology enables the fast and flexible creation of new trivia game mechanics across a spectrum of product types and genres, and will serve as the platform for several products to be featured on Mindspark brand IWON, one of the Internet's original casual gaming destinations and a top 20 online gaming site*. Terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

"VoxPop's trivia engine is a perfect match for the IWON brand and we are excited to add this technology to our platform and portfolio of games," said Gui Karyo, President, IWON. "As the VoxPop team has proven with their many top-tier partnerships, trivia games are a perennially and ubiquitously popular form of gaming that evokes a passion in their players."

By enabling rapid content conversion into compelling and contextually relevant online games for their audiences, VoxPop-powered games have helped publishers generate additional revenue and engagement.   The company's client list includes many of the top-tier publishers in the areas of movies, TV, music, sports, celebrities, and food.

"IWON is a fantastic home for VoxPop," said Mike Derezin, Co-Founder of VoxPop. "Gui and his leadership team share a similar vision for the potential of online gaming and pop culture.  With its 7 million worldwide monthly unique visitors and popular entertainment brands, IWON is uniquely positioned to scale VoxPop's gaming platform."

VoxPop was founded in 2006 by Bill Armistead, Mike Derezin, and Michael Hoffman. The company's Series A investment was led by True Ventures and its Series B by Hearst Interactive Media.
