Overclocker Cafe reviews an i845D based P4 mtoherboard.

In regards to our AOpen AX45 comparison board based on the SiS645 chipset, the i845 didn't really prove to be too much to write home to mom about. The strength in the board is its wide array of features and adjustable settings. Add to this four DIMM slots, eight total USB ports (four being USB 2.0), Dr Voice II, the Watch Dog timer, BIOS that can be flashed from within Windows and on and on, you see the AX4B-Max as a very well rounded feature rich board. AOpen is know for two qualities, stability and well rounded products, the AX4B-Max certainly exemplifies both. Our only gripe of consequence is the board's price of $132. While not exactly a bad price it isn't exactly a bargain either. But anyway you cut it AOpen has again put forth a board worthy of consideration for your next upgrade.
