FineLine Announces High Performance Ultra-Thin Speakers
MARTINEZ, Calif., Jan. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- FineLine Speakers, a US-based manufacturer of high performance ultra-slim speakers, announces the official launch of their product line and exclusive consumer-direct sales website, http://www.finelinespeakers.com. Featuring a select lineup of high-performance speakers well under 2 inches (50 mm) deep, plus a subwoofer, FineLine Speakers offers proven technology and expertise along with Made-in-USA build quality.
While big consumer-audio names like Definitive Technology and KEF have garnered innovation awards for their recently launched ultra-slim speaker designs, FineLine is using dynamic cone-type drivers that are well-proven with over five years in actual production. Phil Jones, Manager of FineLine Speakers, originally designed the proprietary ultra-low-profile woofers now used in these high-performance speakers back in 2003, with refinements made since then to extend bass response and maximize accuracy and dynamic range. To make the enclosures as thin as possible without sacrificing sound quality, FineLine uses cold-rolled steel with applied damping and bracing for maximum performance with minimal wall thickness. Instead of using separate grilles, FineLine uses an integral fabric wrap to maintain a clean, seamless appearance, while further reducing overall speaker depth.
By selling exclusively consumer-direct via the Web, FineLine offers very competitive pricing, even though 100% of their products are made in the USA.
