Accu-Sort® Offers the Ability to 'Save Every Image' from Warehouse Barcode Scanners

VisionCapture(TM) System 2.0 enables users of AccuVision® AV6010 camera bar code systems to Capture, Store, and Archive ALL Images

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Accu-Sort® Systems, Inc. continues to set the standard for imaging systems through its AccuVision® AV6010 camera bar code scanner with VisionCapture(TM) System 2.0. This system enables the user to capture every image and potentially offload these images to a pre-determined location for viewing, analyzing, and/or archiving.

Retail distribution centers and parcel shipment hubs using camera bar code scanners can analyze the off-loaded images for multiple benefits including:

--  Proof of compliant labels: users must pay charge backs to their
customers if labels are not correctly placed; visual proof of compliant
        labels can reduce charge backs
--  Product verification: visual proof of items that are included in an
order; helps to reduce shrinkage or missing items claims
--  Bar code print analysis: visually zoom in and review bar code to check
        for defects in printing

The VisionCapture(TM) System 2.0 provides a 'virus-free' Linux-based operating system and flexible, easy-to-use software tools that accommodate even the most demanding applications. The VisionCapture software can be set-up to capture full-resolution images, down-sampled images, or down-sampled image plus regions where a bar code was detected (full resolution).  Images can be of an entire item, or a specific region of interest (e.g., bar code, label). This gives users the ability to capture images for off-line review and analysis in three formats: JPEG, BMP, and PNG. The MultiViewer(TM) software tool enables users to analyze the captured images, displaying images from up to six AV6010 camera bar code scanners.

The AccuVision AV6010 Camera Bar Code Scanner provides a flexible and upgradeable computing architecture to meet the needs of most demanding applications. Processors can be configured for decoding, OCR/OCV/VCS, in-camera dimensioning, and more, allowing the system to be easily configured assuring each application has all the power it needs to get the job done fast and accurately.
